Monday 20th April, 2020

Hello everyone,

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter Break. Our next topic is The Treasures of Ancient Egypt. This topic explores the civilisation of Ancient Egypt through the study of archaeology. Children will learn about the discoveries of Howard Carter and investigate a wide range of artefacts, considering what each reveals about Egyptian society.

Thank you to everyone that has sent me pictures of the home learning – it’s great to see all of the wonderful work that is taking place. Please continue to email any photos of learning to hrashotte1.213@lgflmail.org by Thursday each week, as I will be picking more to add to the Work of the Week page, on the website.

Many thanks,
Miss Rashotte

Work of the Week

Thursday 26th March, 2020

Dear parents and children,

I would love to see the fantastic work that is taking place at home! Please email photos of the work that your children are most proud of, by Thursday each week. I will be picking out a few examples each week, that will then be published on the school website. I can't wait to hear from all of you!
Thanks,
Miss Rashotte

Note for parents:

Hello everyone,

If you need to contact me about any queries with the task you can do so on my email hrashotte1.213@lgflmail.org. I will be available from 8.30-4.30. If you email after these hours, I will seek to reply to your email the following day. Answers to questions in Maths will be uploaded every Friday and other subjects where possible so children can mark their work. Please look at the class page regularly for updates on tasks as these will be updated weekly. Children will be expected to complete all tasks within this pack however, I understand that access may be limited. If these issues arise, please just email me. Finally, I would like to say a huge thank you in advance for the support you are going to give during these challenging times.

Kind regards,
Miss Rashotte

Bug Club and Times Tables Rockstars Access

Monday 23rd March 2020

Dear parents,

If you haven’t already picked up your child’s home learning pack with their login details, please email me directly at hrashotte1.213@lgflmail.org to ask for your child’s Bug Club and Times Tables Rockstarts login details. Please tell me your child’s name in the email.

Bug Club is a key website to use daily. It allows your child to read a book at home everyday, I have already allocated the correct reading book level to each child. The link to Bug Club is listed below. You will need your child’s username, the password which is password and then the code rtmg.

 https://www.activelearnprimary.co.uk/login?c=0

Times Tables Rockstars allows your child to practise their timetables. The first time you go on you will need to go to Login, School, Student and then find the school using the postcode, NW6 5XA. You will then need your child’s username and password.

Both websites might be slow at times, especially during school hours, as millions of children across the country will be trying to log on. Keep trying as some periods are better than others.

Thanks,

Miss Rashotte
