Anti-Bullying Ambassadors
At St Augustine’s Primary we participate in and run the Anti-Bullying Ambassador Programme. This programme equips students and staff with the tools needed to tackle bullying behaviour head on, it transforms our school’s approach to anti-bullying and creates a safer, kinder school community. The programme is youth-led, with our students leading their anti-bullying campaign as Anti-Bullying Ambassadors.
We have 12 Anti-Bullying Ambassadors in school. Four representatives from Year 4, 5 and 6. The ambassadors meet fortnightly to discuss any concerns raised by their peers or to work on a current campaign that is being organised.
Our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors are equipped with the knowledge and skills to assist in providing a safe and secure environment for all pupils at St Augustine’s Primary. The ambassadors are well known by their peers and all wear a blue coloured lanyard while in the playground so that they can be easily identified by those around them.
The ambassadors work hard to create whole school assemblies on current issues and continue to build on their skills through attending online training sessions and workshops.
We will be electing four new ambassadors in September from the Year 4 class to join the group.
