Homework

This is a reminder homework is handed out every Friday and it needs to be returned on the Wednesday. 

 

Guided Reading

Guided reading books need to be returned to school everyday. Children need to be reading everyday and their reading records need to be signed and dated.

Useful phonics and reading websites

  • Alphablocks Play along with Alphablocks and have fun with the letters of the alphabet. Choose an episode to watch and join in with some by finishing the word. These episodes will be useful to support your children in recognising letter sounds and recognising the more tricky sounds which contain two or three letters.
  • Buried Treasure Practise sounding out the words on the gold coins and decide whether they are real words (to be put in the treasure) or joking words (to be put in the rubbish bin).
  • Book Trust Free online books to read alone or with a friend or family member.
