Summer 1 - Week 3

Week 3 - Monday 4th May 2020

I hope you all enjoyed Superhero Day on Friday. If you have any any pictures of you in your superhero outfits please send them to me at fpegg@stap.org.uk

Rock Stars and Book Worms

Have you seen our new Times Tables Rock Stars and Bug Club tables on our class page? Every Friday I will be updating them so if you want to see your name in our top ten make sure you log in to your account and get practising!

Video Lessons

Thank you to those who have provided feedback on the Oak Academy and BBC Bitesize video lessons. The response has been very positive so I will be using video lessons for Phonics, English and Maths and incorporating them into our Topic learning where possible.

Daily Exercise

I know there is still a lot of concern for everyone's safety, and rightly so. However if you are able to get outside for some daily exercise and still socially distance please do so as much as possible. It makes a world of difference to keeping our minds and bodies healthy.

Religious Education

"As a Church of England school, we hold Religious Education (RE) and Collective Worship in high regard. RE is a core subject and Collective Worship is an integral part of our daily school life.

It would be very hard to participate thoroughly in RE and Collective Worship remotely; however, we are going to put a short reading with an activity in each week's learning packs.

We ask that you enable your child to read or watch the story (links to the videos are provided) and if they feel able to do the short activity, then they can.

If you would like to send any photos in to class teachers of the work, they would be very gratefully received. - Mrs Cunnington"
