Thank you for the emails sharing your learning and other activities. Let me know if there is something you are particularly proud of as I will keep adding examples to our class page! 😊
In some subject areas I am testing out the use of online lessons. They should be easy to use but please let me have any feedback so I can decide whether we continue including them or not.
Also, please could you start collecting a small collection of different items for a junk modelling project next week. You will ideally need a shoe box or box of a similar size. Other suggested items include yoghurt pots, scrap fabric, bottle tops and cardboard boxes of various sizes.
This week keep working on your extended writing project to help write a guide to Kilburn. If you want to check anything with me during the week please email me. I have also provided some reading comprehension, high frequency words to practise spelling and phonics.
This week we are going to try using some online lessons to help us explore measuring. There are learning tasks and challenges explained at the end of each online lesson.
Our Amazing Architects topic learning can be found in the Foundation document this week. I have changed the title because I have included other subjects like music that have a different theme.
I have a confession Year 1. I’ve not made, painted or drawn anything this week! As the weather has been so nice I have made sure to make the most of my daily exercise time outside. This is one of my favourite times of year when the leaves on trees seem to be the brightest shade of green!
I have spent more time reading this week and finished a wonderful book set during the siege of Troy (a time of Greek heroes, monsters and gods!). What have you read recently that you really enjoyed?
