We celebrated National Poetry Day in our Celebrations Collective Worship this morning with a fantastic poetry slam!
Representatives from each class came to the front of the hall and performed a chosen poem. Some were poems from well-known poets and others were poems which the children had written themselves.
We had poems ranging from ice-cream to Halloween witches, and then the overwhelming theme seemed to be poems about friendship. This was wonderful to see and hear as it is our value for this half-term and obviously has hugely resonated with the children.
Thank you to all the children, and their parents, for a great effort!
