Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you for all your positive messages of thanks and offers of support over the past few weeks and for the help that you have given us in maintaining a calm and measured approach to the current situation. As the Head of Primary of St Augustine’s CE Primary, I am so proud of our positive, supportive and resilient community and the way in which everyone has been helping one other to deal with this situation.
We understand that many of the children are worried about the amount of time they will be away from school and away from their friends and their routines. We have explained that we will have to wait and see what the Government tell us to do and have reassured the children that, as soon as we can come back together as a school, we will, but that we must be patient. Please let your children know that we all miss them and that we are thinking of them. We will continue to send messages and updates to you via the school website and by email, so please do contact the school office to check that we have your current email address.
Let's keep up the positivity and the learning wherever we are and hope that it won't be too long before we can re-unite as a school. In the meantime, please ensure that the children keep up their reading and their learning, but that they also have plenty of fun. The class page on the school website has information about work that has been set for each class, as well as a number of links to useful educational websites. Please make sure that you and your child stay in touch with their class teacher through emails.
We look forward to seeing all of you together again as soon as possible.
Head of Primary
