Meet the Governors

St Augustine's Governing Body

Governors are the strategic leaders of schools and play a vital role in making sure every child gets the best possible education.  Governors focus on three core strategic functions:

  • ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
  • holding the Head Teacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the performance management of staff; and
  • overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.

The table below shows detailed information about the structure and remit of our governing body and its committees (including dates of appointment, term of office, appointing body, business and pecuniary interests and attendance record).

If you would prefer to see a 'quick overview' of all the governors at St Augustine's CE Primary School, including a photograph of each of them, please click on the following document below: 'Quick overview of Governors of St Augustine's CE Primary School.'

Finally, clicking on the star below next to the name of each governor will open a larger photograph of each of them.
